To Catch A Kitty

For the past little while a new kitten has been hanging around Jes’ house. He clearly doesn’t have a home as he seems to be hanging out in the shed and when a small bowl of food is put out for him he goes crazy. However we can’t get close to him for the life of us. As soon as you make eye contact or as soon as he senses you’re near him he bolts away then sneaks back out again. Jes has two other cats who this little kitten is trying to be nice to and play with but they keep bonking him on his head. It’s actually kind of funny.
Jes started calling him Petey so currently that’s his name but sometimes we also call him Jimmy so that could also be his name. We’re currently just trying to catch him as he needs to be petted and cuddled with as that’s what he’s trying to do with the other cats but they want nothing to do with him. If anyone knows of a sure fire way of catching a kitten who is somewhat afraid of humans please let us know. Also if you’re interested in giving this kitten a nice home to live let me know as well; mostly because Jes’ mom doesn’t want him around because they already have 2 cats and she wants to bring him to the Humane Society. I’d rather see him get a nice home though.

Hey hey don’t be so quick with the ridding of the Petey. As of now I’m still trying to work my mom into wanting him around. I’m sure once winter comes he’ll be invited indoors (that’s what happened with Fudgie/Pixie/Shed Kitty).

Hey Curt
Next time you feed the cat, put some tranqulizers in its food and that will put him to sleep, and then you can bring him inside and then he’ll wake up and then you can cuddle him and all that

My dad trapped poor Petey in the house and he was throwing himself off the screen door to get out. Haven’t seen him since (that was 3 or 4 days ago). Hope you didn’t actually want him Tony!
