Joined the Dark Side

Unlike young Skywalker or Harry Potter I could no longer resist the temptation of the “dark side”. After seven months and 20 job applications (maybe more) and coming up empty with every one I received a phone call from one of the call centres in town. EEKKSS. I was asked to go in and do a “tech exam” to see if I had the necessary skills etc. I obliged and did the exam the next day, about five minutes afterwards I was asked if I’d like a job. I said yes considering that 7 months without a job and trying to start up a business equals zero income.
On the surface I think I can make myself okay with the job. I think I’ll be working shift work however and it’s an inbound tech support centre so it is sort of using my degree in Computer Science (yes I’m stretching here). The part I’m mostly iffy on is after calls I believe we have to try to sell things and need to hit a certain target for the day — I’ll figure this out when I get there though. If selling more stuff helps me get a better commission and I can put my ego etc to the side and realize that the sales as well as the job will help me out in getting that car I’ve wanted and possibly a house then why not. If you’re already on the dark side might as well go fully to the dark side right?
This job might work out well too with the business going up full steam as well. Work the business during the day and the call centre during the night (or vice versa). It should all help out in the long run I believe.

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. So yes, no half-ass committments to the dark-side. It’s all or nothing.
Just t hink… you can use it to finance Meatball.
