How’d You Do It Darth?

Well today was the completion of my first week of “dark side” training and needless to say it was pretty crappy. I basically wanted to walk out at lunch on the first day but thought I’d stick it through, at least to get enough money to have Domino paid for.
I finished the week and I don’t know how people do it. Well okay, I don’t know how post-secondary educated people could do it and maybe they don’t. That’s probably the reason why I was the only one who raised my hand when the Site Manager came in and said “How many people here have a university degree?”
The job was basically tech support for a major US computer manufacturer but you didn’t need computer skills it seemed to get the job as this question was actually asked “Where do you find the underscore key?” And as the same person asked that question continued to ask upwards of seventy questions a day (that’s an actual number folks) I was thinking to myself “I’m only getting .25 more an hour than her?” Okay, maybe that’s conceited but I figured I paid some crazy amount for a university education I should at least be appropriately compensated for it no?
Needless to say now but the “dark side” just isn’t for me.
So Mr. Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan and Yoda and everyone else I hope there’s still some room over there on the “side of good” because I believe I’m coming back.
(Episode III coming next week or should it be Episode VI hmmm)

Money over contentment is sometimes a tough choice, but I believe the right one. We always do find a way to survive. Mind you…that basset puppy of yours is going to want regular kibble…

WAIT! I meant contentment over money. Sheesh. I haven’t been eating…can’t afford to…brain starved.

So while you may not be well fed, at least you’re happy.
Cujo, I have several horror stories form when Richard did tech support for HP.

First off, for anyone else worrying about the new safety of Domino (basset hound pup) I promise you he’s coming to a loving home and he’ll be well taken care of.
I was hoping to do the “dark side” until things started moving for me business wise but realized after this week that the “dark side” was taking more out of me then I thought it would and it also made me realize that the business is something I want to do. And because I want to do it, I should get off my lazy ass and force myself into it and go for it full own. It’s something I love to do and can do non-stop as soon as I get into it but it’s getting over the initial hurdle etc.
So with that said, if anybody needs a web site check out “The Businesss” link to the right. I’ll get in touch with you soon. I have some projects on the go that I should be finishing VERY shortly (once again, sorry for those people) but I’m a striving for the best now. I promise.

At least you tried, and that’s a good thing. Plus it made you realize that you really can do good things with your business so maybe Sutherland just gave you the push you needed
