Growing Up Fast and D’Oh More Fleas!

Well it’s been some time since I’ve given a Domino update so here’s a quick one.
This past weekend the Dog Wonder learned how to go down our outside stairs shockingly and in the same day learned how to go up the house stairs (inside) leading to the 2nd floor. We were all impressed and my parents were out of town so didn’t know about his “new trick” until they returned.
We also took him for a lengthy walk in which we ended up at his doggy parents house to see the breeder as she likes to see the puppies. The family was happy to see him and asked if they could take him around the corner to see Miller who was another pup from the litter — the only brown male. Domino is HUGE that’s the only way to put it. We knew he was growing lots and getting big but after seeing him up against another pup from the same litter he’s a giant. He probably had a couple of inches in height on this other dog and an easy 5-10 pd weight advantage.
The parent dogs then came running over a bit later and Dom seems to already be the size of his mother and will probably overtake his father in a couple more months if he keeps growing the way he is.
During our trip away Domino learned another new trick — walking down the stairs inside which now makes him completely mobile in the house, we are no longer safe anywhere.
Also while away he turned into “Jackass Dog” and got into a super biting mood where he’d consistently bite my mom and aunt without stopping and constant attacking. I didn’t witness him do this until last night after we took him for a walk and it seemed like he was possessed by some devil dog or something.
We noticed a “rash” on his belly yesterday too so decided to take him to the vet today, after waiting for 2 to 3 hours because we didn’t have an appointment we found out he once again has fleas. :(. This could possibly be the reason for this “Jackass Dog” phases and that’s what we’re hoping for. We have now cleaned the entire house again, gave him a capstar tablet and also an application of FrontLine. Hopefully we can finally kill those bastards off. We’re unsure where he got reinfected but it’s possible from the parent dogs again or from some of the visitors who have come here who may have been around fleas.
This is kind of sad because the breeder was going to plan a “puppy walk” where all the puppies she still is in contact with in town (I think 3 or 4) and the parents were all going to go for a walk either on the boardwalk or to Hiawatha or someplace else, it would have been fun to do but if everyone can get fleas it’d be horrible.
My quick update went long so I’ll end now and save another Dom idea for tomorrow or the next day.
