Peer Pressure Bookshelf

Well I gave into the peer pressure and posted a pic of my awesome bookshelf.
Above is the top 2 shelves of it as the bottom two don’t hold any books and well are hidden by a futon. Shelf 2 contains all my crazy computer books along with 3 graphic novels (V for Vendetta, Sin City v4 and the Ultimates) and a Social Psyc book. Shelf 1 has more of an assortment with a couple more Sin City volumes and some other miscellaneous books that have made their way there. And what’s that? An elastic gun, you’re darn tootin!
On the top of that shelf you can sort of make out the bases to my Spawn toy collection, ooo scary!

Nice book collection, looks like someone was pretty interested in Java.
I have to agree with you, some tech books are pretty rough. It seems like people just make up complicated words to ‘appear smart’.

My computer book shelf is loaded with titles like “XML for Dummies,” “Java for Dummies,” etc. Thank Yaweh for the Dummy writers!

@Tarellel - Java was the main part of my studies in University, it was the core language we looked at. Then for my thesis I looked at J2ME as my thesis was on PDAs and programming for them and J2ME was one of the main languages.
@Anita - hey the Dummies books are usually half decent and the fact you have those books listed above is kind of cool. I’m trying to get my hands on a good XML book HAHA.

Gyah! Now I gotta go home and take a pic of my bookshelf, though most of my programming boks are here at the office… where we, annoyingly, have no bookshelves.

HAHA. I have a bookshelf and I’m surprised that many books are actually on it. On my headboard for my bed is where the “real gold” is. Many first 6 volumes of “Ultimate Spider-man”, the Watchmen, and some other crazy graphic novels I think are in there with more computer books.
Woohoo for comics and computers.

Haha. I just got through boxing up about 3/4 of the books on our main bookshelf in the liviingroom, because there were so many crammed onto it that they were falling off and killing my guests as they walked past it on the way into the house.
