The Goblet of Awesome

Jes and I attended an auction today and when the beauty pictured above came up for sale I simply had to have it. My first idea was giving it away as a present to a friend but after I held the Goblet of Awesome in my hands I simply had to keep it for myself.
Your eyes are not deceiving you. That IS a bell attached to the handle of the Goblet of Awesome (a better picture of the bell is below). The bell was obviously the selling point and when it came it had a four leaf clover on top and me trying to be the non-drinking Irish guy I am I had to have it.

I then started thinking, yes start with the “you think” jokes, but really, this Goblet of Awesome has more uses than just the initial one in which everyone thinks of. I’ll list some below and I’m sure there’s tonnes more as well (in no particular order of course). I will describe the situation then the words that shall be spoken/action taken. For the slower ones out there “bring bring” is the sound of the bell.
- The obvious, in need a fill up — “bring bring” (repeat as necessary)
- My team (any sports team) just scored a goal/touchdown/basket/insert way of getting points here — “woohoo, bring bring”
- I don’t have a bicyle bell or water bottle and this doubles as both — “whew I’m thirsty, drink drink, AH a bear, bring bring”
- I just won a “monster hand” at poker — “BAM — bring bring”
- No need to slam my glass at the end of the night for an encore — “bring bring” (repeat as necessary)
- A doorbell, either for your house (leave it outside) or for friend’s houses (bring it with you) — “bring bring, hello?” (repeat as necessary)
And those are just quickly off the top of my head. The possibilites are endless so be sure to share yours.
May the Goblet of Awesome live on forever!
EDIT: I changed the top pics to display better and my horrible spelling/non-making sense at the end. Also, the list above will continue to evolve ![]()

Too cool! Now all you need is a nice case to carry it around with you. I could see you at the bar at Loplops… “bring bring” refill. Virgin Caesar. “bring bring”
Hey, maybe that four leaf clover will also “bring bring” an end to the Curt O’Neil effect.
Yes, auctions are fun and the Goblet of Awesome is truly the mother of all finds.

Thanks for the replies ladies.
I do quite enjoy the Goblet of Awesome. I can’t wait to actually use it!
I think another “cool” aspect of it is that the bell can be transfered to another mug/glass/goblet if need be. So I’m thinking of making a move to my A&W mug that I got down in the states a couple of months back.
That might make it the Goblet of Wickedy Wild Awesome but then again that might be pushing it

I have 4 of the A&W mugs (had to buy a set, you know). Where can I get a bell?

Hmm, I don’t know (well I won’t say ;)). I now have plans to open up a “Bells to Create Goblet of Awesomes” shop. I think it’ll be HUGE.
