Here’s 12 to get you started. I don’t cook a lot, but when I do, I get a little creative. Most of these are ones I’ve come up with and they’re all pretty simple.
—————————–
4 boneless chicken breasts
1 can of cranberry sauce
1 small jar of russian salad dressing
1 packet of powdered onion soup mix
Mix it all together, pour over chicken, bake at 350 for 40mins or until chicken is done, serve with white rice.
—————————–
This one’s a bit more complicated, but really good:
1lb ground beef
Taco seasoning
1 bag of Frito’s corn chips (chilli cheese flavor’s really good)
Shredded cheese
1 pack of spanish or mexican rice ‘n sauce mix
1 can of refried beans
Brown ground beef, add taco seasoning, prepare rice as directed. Crush 2/3 bag of corn chips into crumbs, and in a cassarole dish layer chip crumbs, ground beef, cheese, chip crumbs, refried beans, cheese, rice, and cheese, then put the rest of the whole corn chips on top. Bake at 350 for 20mins.

Steaks are really good if you take them straight from frosen (they come out more tender this way), spread about 2 tbsp of olive oil over them, along with 2 tbsp of bbq sauce (you just want a hint of bbq flavor), salt and pepper. Put them in a pan, cover, and take in the oven at 375 for 45mins or until steaks are done (thicker steaks may take longer).

Similar to the steak, you can do the same thing with chicken, except instead of olive oil and bbq sauce, use a little bit of soy sauce and a bit of ginger. I’ve found that most meets in general are more tender and retain flavors better if you cook them from frozen, instead of letting them thaw first. The exception to this would be sausages.

1 can of pilsbury (or whatever brand) crescent rolls
Pepperoni
Pizza Sauce
Grated cheese
Unroll crescent roll dough and brush each one with pizza sauce (any more than this and the bread gets too soggy when it bakes), add a couple of pepperoni’s and some grated cheese, fold into triangles and press the edges together, top with more cheese and bake. You have to add about 4-5mins to the baking time listed on the crescent roll instructions.
—————————–
2lbs ground beef
1 large can of tomato juice
1 packet of powdered onion soup mix
2 cans of dark red kidney beans
Brown the ground beef and mix everything together, simmer over low heat for 10-12hrs, season with salt, pepper and chilli powder to taste. Then let the whole thing sit in the fridge overnight and eat it the next day. This is a really simple chilli recipe, but really good.

Boneless pork chops
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
Pour cream of mushroom soup over pork chops and cook over low to medium heat until chops are done. This goes really well with a wild rice and a red wine.

Fidge, in 2 ingredients and 5 minutes of effort:
1 can of cake frosting: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or mint chocolate
1 bag of chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, or peanut butter chips
Melt chips in glass bown in microwave, mix in frosting, spread over wax paper on cookie sheet to cool. You can also add marshmallows or nuts.
—————————–
A great no-bake cookie recipe:
Ritz Crackers
Peanut butter
White or milk chocolate chips
Make “sandwiches” with peanut butter and crackers, dip in melted chocolate chips, place on wax paper to cool.

My very simple meatloaf:
1lb ground beef
1/2lb ground sausage
1 egg
4 btsp bbq sauce
1/3x soda cracker crumbs
Salt / pepper
Mix it all together, place in loaf pan, bake at 375 for 1hr.
—————————–
1 rack of ribs
1/2c bbq sauce
2 cloves garlic
Potatos
Put ribs in a pot and cover with water, crush garlic clobes and add to water. Simmer over low heat for 4yrs. Take ribs out and let them drain, then cover with bbq sauce and place in oven on 375 for 20mins, turn ribs over, bbq the other side and bake for an additional 20mins.
Clean potatos and slice, leaving the skins on, into slices about 1/4in thick, put them in a shallow pan (or just wrap in foil) along with butter and salt and bake in the oven for 40mins while ribs are baking. If you’re doing a lot of potatos, it may take longer.

You may have seen this one on Synapse, but I’m having problems coming up with a No. 12, so…..
3/4c peanut butter
1/2c butter, melted
2c flour
1 egg
1c packed light brown sugar
3tbsp water
3tbsp maple syrup
Mix water, butter, syrup, peanut butter, egg and brown sugar together and then slowly mix in flour until everythingÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s all smooth. Put dough on cookie sheet, in your standard pre-baked cookie-sized blobs and bake at 350 for 12-5mins.
