Look Ma… I Have Ads

Okay I broke down and added some Google Ads to my site. Why? Well I’m trying to get some cost back from server costs etc for different things as I’ve been shelling out quite a bit for it in the past month and wanted to see how this worked. I’m sure I won’t get much but if I can try to get a small amount a month it’d be cool. But I doubt it.

Let’s consider it an experiment for now.

I tried to make them “blend in” as much as possible and kept it limited to the one spot on the main page and then again on a “single story” page as I get some search engine hits which go directly to pages etc.

If the experiment fails or there’s a big uprising I’ll remove the ads. If it seems to be going “okay” they’ll stay.

Experimenting is fun is it not?

    I appreciate the Manitoba ad — and visited :-) Perhaps I will visit again tomorrow at work.

    Seeing as I will be up all night tonight (see blog entry), perhaps I will visit again and again.

    Never mind the blog entry — I deleted it. It was just something about me worrying because there was water dripping over my furnace, likely from my dishwasher which must be kaput.

    Since I’m up, maybe I will visit your ad people….

    HAHA. Thanks for visiting the ads Anita. So far it seems “so good”. If that makes any sense. In the 12ish hours they’ve been up I’ve got some click thrus so that’s pretty cool.

    More blogging is needed and possibly me at my regular blogging rate of a story a day or so may help increase that. Here’s hoping.
