A Last Minute Christmas Wish List Item

WOW that’s a long title.
Anyway my last minute Christmas Wish List Item is none other than a cowbell and a professional cowbell whacking stick. For those of you who know me or have “experienced” me at a local show of the Sault’s finest independent music you know that I’m usually requesting “More Cowbell” for which pretty much is the majority of the night and most nights I go home disappointed :(.
Because of this I came to the conclusion that there’s not enough musicians specializing in cowbell in town or maybe even the world! And me being the smart guy I am I thought I’d capatilize on the opportunity and become the Sault’s leading cowbell artist. My stage name will be Cowbell Curt and I’d be the best damn cowebellist that ever existed.
If it really takes off I could probably market my own professional cowbell whacking sticks and maybe my own cowbells. But let us not get ahead of ourselves here. We’ll start with the PCWS and go from there.
I think this is also a good “moonlighting” opportunity for me as well. I can have my own solo cowbell show extravaganza where other artists can accompany me at different times throughout the show but don’t get me wrong the lead instrument would be the cowbell. I could also be a guest musician for any band that would need the extra umph that a cowbell adds to the show. I think it’s definitely under utilized. Now you might be thinking “can’t the drummer/percussionist in these bands just cowbell themselves”. No. They aren’t doing it now so why should they pick it up later? And besides, they are too busy hitting all the other percussive instruments and the cowbell is more “specialized” and needs more care.
So enter Cowbell Curt.
Sounds good doesn’t it? But for all this to become a reality I need a cowbell. So if you’re still struggling on finding me that perfect Christmas gift look no further than the cowbell.

Since we’ve already talked about the pure grammatica nightmare-ish hell that this blog entry represeents, I think it is only fair for me to comment that I agree with the need for more cowbell, as I have vocally supported during many of your “needs more cowbell” rants….and perhaps a little more koocaracha eggs too…but that may be pushing it….

I’d send you my cow bell, but I’m rather attached to the thing, it being hand-crafted by my grandfather and all. The same goes for the sheep’s bell, which also gives a nice sound, just higher pitch.
What exactly does a cow bell whacking stick look like?
Envy me, for I have cow bell.

Ross: I already corrected all of those crazy mistakes ;). And the eggs are good but only a step to the cowbell and not the full cowbell experience.
Kelli: I hate you. But as far as PCWS go they sort of look like drum sticks but more specialized for the cowbell.

You still got yourself some crazy spelling mistakes, and how about trying your business as a moonlighting opportunity since you seem to love sleeping all day instead

If you get a cowbell, you can definitely come up for a song…a song…as in one.
Then again, if you get one you might go on the road and get swept up in the crazy cowbell lifestyle too.
hmmm

WOOHOO!!
Everything is turning up cowbell! Case said I can be on his 3 albums he’s recording in Jan as well. The cowbell will take over the Soo, trust me. But then again Case wasn’t all too sober last night so who knows if he remembers or not.
