Your Pod or Tripod?

Okay I admit that was lame but it was the cleverest thing I could think of (I’m cold).

Anyway walking around the mall today looking for all of those fantastic Boxing Day Sales (aka Crazy Nutter Day) we stumpled into Black’s Photography to see if they had any lenses on for sale. As I was staring at the lenses Jes thought she’d be sneaky and buy me a tripod for my camera. I noticed her walking to the front of the store with the box on her shoulder and I stopped her to see what it was.

We ended up putting that specific tripod back and ended up with this one (it’s not on Black’s site for some reason). Anyway it’s the Giotto VT809 what that exactly means I have no clue but now I have a tripod for some good scenery/naturey/over done shots ;)

Thanks hun.

I also bought a new wallet today too. I received one for Christmas but it didn’t hold my excessive crapload of cards so I needed to get a new one. Isn’t Christmas fun?

You were in that nuthouse too, eh? I was actually nervy enough to pull the camera out mid-throng and take some video. Happy Boxing Day

Yeah. We were mostly in and out though. We checked Sears for some pots/pans for the new place but they really had nothing going. We then went and got my new wallet and the tripod and that was it we were pretty much out of there. We did venture into La Senza aka the only time of year a guy will go in there and it was even more insane then the regular mall. Crazy women.

Happy Boxing Day to you as well.

I avoided boxing day, though I do plan on going out today. I’m hoping some of the crowds will have dissapated.

    I need to exchange something.

Last week I was shopping with my 12-year-old, She needed to find an outfit for her school sock-hop. She also needed to find a gift for her sister. We shopped first for the outfit. After an hour and a half of me showing her things I thought she would like, and hearing “Uh, no, Mom,” I decided to take her into a boutique and hand her over to the shop girl while I recovered on the couch. Fifteen minutes later, she had an outfit, and was worn out just enough that she was willing to hear my suggestions for her sister.

At the game section in Zellers I pulled a CSI game off the shelf, and told her I thought her sister would love it. I told her I had seen one of these when I was shopping with my friend a few weeks back, and thought it perfect then too. She agreed, and we were outa there.

Christmas Eve the girls opened their gifts to each other. They each loved what they were given. The CSI game was a HUGE hit.

Christmas morning we opened the rest of the gifts. At one point the girls were handed a together gift from Copper. They opened it and, lo and behold, a CSI game!

Apparently when I shopped with my friend and thought it perfect, I also bought it.

    I’m losing my mind.

So today I exchange…hopefully minus some of the crowds.

I had a similar situation. My mom wanted Roy Orbison CDs because when her car was broken into the people took those CDs for some strange reason. So that was my plan. Get her those CDs. Then one morning I thought I heard my dad come into my room and tell me that he got her the CDs and not to get them but I’m usually in such a dazed and stupid state when I first wake up I wasn’t sure if what I heard was “real”. Later in the day I was trying to figure out if my dad actually said that he bought the CDs or if it was a dream of something else. Jes and I actually went to a couple of music stores/areas to see what was available etc then decided not to get them just in case. Good thing because my dad did get the CDs. It’s such a confusing time of year.

Domino bought me a wallet for chewing up my old one. Only thing is it didn’t fit all my stuff so I bought a new one yesterday now I just need to return the one I receieved and all should be well.
