12 Musicians of Christmas in Photos

Well me being the new camera crazy guy I am I brought the Canon 20D along with me once again to Loplops for the 12 Musicians of Christmas show which was mostly a fundraiser for the Sault Youth Council.
I’m not going to sit here and review the show as I’m sure every musician who was up who has a site/blog will have something to say about it and it’d be better than what I could put into words.
Basically my review will be in pictures. If you think the pics look cool then the show was cool if you think the pics look like crap then the show was cool.
Also once again my stupid picture disclaimer, there’s no editing or anythign done to these shots, they are the original shots and I tried to get up a couple of each person/combination that went on stage and even though some turned out a little blurry etc I’m sneaking them up anyway. This is about 1/3 of the pictures that I actually took yesterday.
And now for the musicians, they are Shannon Moan, Sheldon Jaaskalainen, Laura Alopeaus, Cliff Alloy, Chris Belsito, Jay Case, Lindsey Pugh, Frank Deresti, Ed Young, Mark Kuntsi and Catherine Taddo. For those of you clever enough to count that’s only eleven musicians as the fabulous Mr. Craig West had to cancel at the last minute due to “food poisoning” (who said that wouldn’t work??). Now for the even cleverer people looking at the pictures you may notice thirteen musicians. Two guests sat in and they are Felipe Basoalto and George Ravlich.
So what are you waiting for check out the 12 Musicians of Christmas Gallery. And feel free to come back here to comment on them.

The pictures are good, but I hope they start playing somewhere else because I’m getting bored of the red/orange background

They could possibly change the background as well HEHE.

They actually change the background every month - which is more often than Belsito changes his clothes. Oh well, when you find something that works, why mess with it, right?
Nice pictures, though.

I knew the background changed just not sure the frequency. And considering all of my pics are from the last 2 weeks the same red background is in everything. Maybe on Tuesday (if I go) it’ll be different and some of the shots can look different.

You could do like the school photographer did…bring your own backdrops and pull them down over the wall before each show….and they could be funny, with like dinosaurs and clowns and dogs playing poker and stuff…

I like that backdrop idea. It could be themed according to the show or the band… an aquarium for Startlefish, a cityscape for Big Suit. Now if we could just convince them to point a few lights at the stage and leave them on for the night…
Why do venue owners think we want to watch bands perform in the dark?
Anyway, I just popped over to wish you the best in the New Year. Have a safe and happy time tonight!

Now Ross considering it was your idea maybe you can start working on those backdrops now and have them ready for the next time out. Not like you’re busy doing anythign else.

Hmmm….a decent idea finally and yet still an unemployement dig….haha…well, I can paint as well as most kindergardeners, so this should be good.
