Early Birthday Gift #1

Let the presents begin!

In case you didn’t know (and why wouldn’t you?) it is my big ole quarter century birthday this Wednesday. That’s right folks 25 on 25.

I received a gift early as well. On Friday Jes and I went across the river (which means we are now entering Michigan and the United States) to pick up a package shipped to a warehouse there. Jes being the good citizen she is claimed the package at Customs and told them it was a camera lens. WOOHOO.

She got me the Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Macro 1:2 lens that I wanted for Christmas. YAY for new camera stuff.

Now the only question is… what did you get me?

    Woo! Congrats. :) I’m tempted to put together a list of “lenses under $500 that are actually worth the money” and that one would be right at the top.

    Yeah, I’m quite happy. Now all I need to do is figure out how to use the thing. This goes for most of my camera gear I guess. I have a general understanding and able to take some photos but I want to do more with it and be better etc.
