V For Vendetta - Super Bowl Trailer

Well for us poor schmucks in Canada we miss all the good Super Bowl commercials that accompany the big game as a Canadian broadcaster usually takes over the US feed and displays their own ads — that is unless you have fancy digital cable or satellite, I have neither. Anyway the new V For Vendetta trailer was displayed during it. For anyone who didn’t see it the trailer is also available on the web site in the trailer section. Also featured there are trailers one and two.

I’m really looking forward to this movie and sort of dismayed that they did push it back from its original launch date in November to the new one in March but hopefully it works out for the best.

The Super Bowl trailer and the web site are now features with the line “People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.” Food for though for our newly elected government in Canada I do believe.

In a strange side note does anyone think that the mask worn by Codename V in the movie/graphic novel look strangely like Kirk Pengilly from INXS? I know the mask is supposed to look like/represent Guy Fawkes but seeing Kirk in the Rockstar: INXS TV show as well as all the new ads etc I can’t help but laugh.
