Better Than Crabs

Well Mr. West actually begged me to make this post so here it is. Just so I wouldn’t have to see a grown old man cry.

The Chris Belsito Band and Startlefish will be playing a dual band show (not to be confused with a duel, but that’d probably be a lot more fun) at Algoma U’s very own Speak Easy pub this Saturday, February 25th. Mr. West has asked that all friends or people he thinks are friends to help promote the show to try to get bodies in the seats etc. Basically the thinking behind it is if a new venue decides to start bringing in the local independent artists and they have a good turnout for the shows that hopefully said new venues will continue having these artists play future shows etc. Thus creating more venues for the artists which may create more artists which may create a killer scene in the Soo. But that’s a lot of “may”s and there already is a lot of inbreeding going on with the bands already. But now I’m way off topic.

Anyway.. check out the show this Saturday it should be a “rocking good time.” Startlefish will be on Day 2 of the new “rocking” band line up so all should be in for a treat. They are burning the acoustic guitars, that’s right, live burning of the acoustic guitars this Saturday only! And are going full electric. I might have misinterpreted the email but I’m sure that’s what it said.

Enough babble though and more rock. So go rock. Rock.
