The Imponderables - Still Freaking Hilarious

I’ll try to keep this as short as possible as I know I could probably run on forever about these guys.
Anyway if you’ve never heard of or seen the Imponderables I suggest you take the first opportunity you have to do so. This group of four has to be some of the best Canadian sketch comedy I’ve ever seen.
I met the guys probably 4 or 5 years ago when I was still Programmer (Events) at Algoma University during the COCA Conference. They were not at the conference to showcase their talents at all but more to network and let people know who they were. Matt and myself got to know them quite a bit and enjoyed the rest of the week joking around with them. I took the first opportunity that came up to double book them with Sault College so that we could get this talent up in the north.
Shortening this down some more their experience at Sault College was horrible to say the least and I wanted them to have found memories of the Sault so I went above and beyond to try to make their experience at Algoma even better. They loved it. Loved every minute of it so much that they then incorporated Sault Ste. Marie into their new show which they invited me down to see the following weekend. Jes and I went down for this show and then went down again a year later as they were debuting yet another new show.
Tony (one of the Imponderables) saw us and came out to talk to us to see how things were going. After the show he invited us backstage (more like into the basement) to say hi to the rest of the guys and sure enough they remembered us and still had the memories of chicken wings and good times in the Sault.
I’ve been receiving email updates as part of their newsletter since the first showing they had and periodically check out their web site to see what they are up to and who they are impressing. The last time I went I noticed a video on their site so I simply had to check it out.
NBL Layup Video (quicktime format — let it load all the way before playing as it’s better that way)
I sat here in my office (home office) laughing to myself nonstop. The boys still have it. Heck I played the video multiple times and as a special treat they are still paying homage to the Sault — see if you can find it.
Keep on keeping on Imponderables. Maybe we’ll run into each other again soon.
