More Confirmation That I’m A Genius

If you’ve been following my multi-post rant on how I believe the gas prices are connected to the Edmonton Oilers run for the cup.

On my way into work today gas prices have rocketed up on average $0.16 CDN / litre at the majority of stations I drove by (that’s approximately $0.592 CDN / gallon) and this is after Edmonton lost 5-0 last night to Carolina.

With Edmonton’s top goalie out for the rest of the season following an injury in game one it is not looking good for the Oilers so where do you think gas prices are going to head?

Yes, you are a genius, Curt. I am not. Can you come over and set up my wireless network? I am a tech idiot! Oh, nice call on the gas prices, too. Verry interesting…

Notice anything different about me? Off topic, I know (sorry), but I wanted to let you know I’m wireless now. Turns out it was some configuration prob with Firefox. All better now. Woo-hoo!

  3. Matt Says:

Well, here in Edmonton, gas prices have gone down since the Oilers decided to take a shit…so there :P hahah

  4. Cujo Says:

Who said we were talking about Edmonton?

And for anymore tech problems maybe Matt can get to you quicker, although he’s in Edmonton and that is probably farther away from Winnipeg now that I think about it. But it’s more of a straight drive though… yeah that’s it.

  5. Matt Says:

I’m closer to Winnipeg than you are, Curt. AND..I’ll be there the weekend of Sept 15, hehe

  6. anita Says:

Excellent! Thanks Matt. I’ll plan some sort of major technical implosion breakdown for then.

Sept. 15….other than the anniversary of Charles Darwin visiting the Galapagos islands, is that some sort of major sports thing day?

  7. Matt Says:

No, my cousin’s getting married. Close though, cuz I’m sure that she’ll, one day, be a finalist for the Darwin Awards LOL

  8. Canadian Mark Says:

Well, since I don’t drive or follow hockey… how does this all play toward the development of bike paths?

  9. anita Says:

Hmm…I’m say it’s all just part of a cycle.

I really must admit that I think you’re on to something here, Cujo. I mean, I was righteously into hockey when I owned a truck. I haven’t driven OR watched a game now since about 1992… which was when that truck was sold. For parts. On account of it fell apart faster than the NHL.

I am REALLY looking forward to a game at the new Arena once it’s finished. If I buy a vehicle shortly thereafter, we’ll know your correlation is correct.

I am so confused on where these comments have gone… hmm connecting wireless internet to travelling to Winnipeg back to hockey then to bikes and now back to buying trucks for the new arena?
