A Conversation I Just Had

(and people wonder why I hate coming into work)

Caller: “Hi, I’m calling from B2, we need those greyish silvery cylindrical things that go in the resident’s call things the badges their push button things, you know those grey circular type things, what are they called, what do you call those things?”

Me: “Batteries”

    Haha! Sadly, I have those kind of conversations with myself all the time. Isn’t that right, self? That’s right.

    Things you must take into consideration — these people are in contact with the “grey circular things” all day long and should know what a “badge” is considering the majority of residents here have them. To top it off the person on the phone was either an RPN or an RN so you’d at least expect them to know what a battery was if they are to know anything else to hopefully provide health care to you. Maybe that’s just me though.
