Better Than Crabs

Back a few months ago (mid April I’m thinking) I stated how I was moving positions at the job I wasn’t too fond of and then I’ve been quiet ever since as I went on a couple of rants on why I didn’t like it etc and realized I should be happy to just have a job.

Well the day has come, almost. July 21st will be the last day of work for me at the job I hate. That’s next Friday. Just knowing that date may make it easier for me to go into work for the next two weeks as I know there finally is light at the end of the tunnel. I’ll be moving internal with my employer to start some programming work, what I’ll be working on at the moment I’m not sure but the change of pace and scenery will be very welcomed.

I will however miss some of the people I’ve met at the job from hell aka chaos central. Basically it was that small group who I met and treated me like I was actually welcomed there and appreciated that kept me there for the six months that it lasted. Six months doesn’t seem like a long time but if you simply hate the fact of waking up because you had to go to your place of employment it’s a bad situation.

Anyway I’m not sure how these next few weeks will go or how the next few months will be with the new position but I have something to look forward too.

Unfortunately tomorrow I have to break the news to the co-workers who don’t want to see me go — they do know that this time was coming they just didn’t know when.
