The Chris Belsito Band played at the Bellevue Park Bandshell today from 2 PM until 4 PM. The day was quite hot and Jes and I only lasted about an hour in the heat. I made my way closer to the stage for a couple of songs to grab shoot some photos and those can be seen in the new photo gallery section that I just uploaded (direct link at end of this post). The above photo shows Craig West, Chris Belsito, Lindsay Pugh and Jay Case (hiding behind Chris is Ed Young). Below on the left is Chris Belsito and on the right Jay Case.

As an interesting tidbit the last time I remember Chris Belsito Band playing the bandshell was three summers ago. The audience was a lot sparser than the one today (maybe local music is finally picking up in town) and the highlight of the day was when a young girl on a bike rode down the hill which the stage faces, lost control of her bike and smashed into the stage right in front of the band. Being the true professionals they are they continued playing without missing a beat. Jes and I were thinking of recreating this event for today’s performance but opted not to for my own safety.

Where was this advertised? I hadn’t heard a thing about it until reading it this moment….too bad, I would have liked to have gone. Oh well.

Craig’s blog, Chris’ site and I think it might have been on Jay’s site as well. Hmmm as far as general advertising not sure.

It was a wicked show. Jonathan enjoyed the ice cream too, well his shirt and face absorbed a great deal of it. He now and thn eats though osmosis…..

  4. Cujo Says:

Well I always heard the best way to enjoy ice cream is through osmosis. Maybe he’s just a head of the game.

I would have loved to have been there to get in everybody’s faces with my newish, non-coffeed equipment. You gotta get them to play the bandshell on a Saturday next time, Cujo…

  6. Les Says:

Oops. I meant “Rabsteen, you gotta get them to…” - sorry, Cujo - I’m ordering you around on the wrong blog!

  7. Les Says:

    Nevermind - I oopsed when I didn’t oops. LOL! I am SUCH a girl.

Are you trying to win a “most comments” award Les?

Great shots Cujo. Just one thing I observed…

Not that I have a foot fetish, but do you have a fear of feet? In 21 shots there are three half feet, three full feet with two at an extreme long distance and two shots with one-and-a-half feet from a pair.

Perchance you are envious of their superior footwear fashion sense? Perchance I have too much time on my hands? Perchance this is a rather nice way of saying that is some awesome resolution on that camera.

I made a rather nice music video, btw. You and Jes are in it.
