Photo Gallery: The Salads Live at Foggy Notions

The Salads played Foggy Notions this past Friday. To be honest I was there mainly for Bondar (story below) but thought I’d stick around to see what The Salads had to offer. I was just about to leave but then they came on stage so I decided to pull the camera back out and shot the rest of the show. As a summary they were good and the crowd was really into the show, the band displayed a lot of energy which then was distributed to the fans.
I was having troubles throughout the night with getting crisp shots so I decided to stop shooting, then when I was sitting off to the side I decided to give my 50mm lens a try to see if I can finally get the lead singer somewhat in focus and it worked but by that time the show was done. You win some you lose some I guess. Slackhopper was also in attendance for this part of the show and you can check out her better gallery on her flickr page (she was centre stage at the start of the show so had better angles on everyone — that’s my excuse anyway).

thanks for the compliment, CO…you gotta fight yer way to centre stage if you want those shots, buddy…I got knocked around pretty good on Sunday night at the Ripcordz show, but the pictures are worth every cut and bruise…

Well when you’re fragile like I am you stay away a bit. Then again I wasn’t planning no shooting the Salads so I wasn’t staking out positions and “directly beside the speaker” had to work for me. Poor ears.
