Blogelation: Buskerfest Night One

Tonight was opening night of Buskerfest here in Sault Ste. Marie. We were slow in getting there as some things came up at the house and some hound wouldn’t stop barking - admittedly we also left a little earlier than desired but it is a three day event so hopefully we can catch everything else in the next couple of days.
Pictured above is Trulee Odd Show. His was the only show that we saw the entire run of and even at that it was parts here and there as the crowd was already pretty thick by the time we were there and Fozzie the Busker Hound was stealing the show for the audience stuck in the back. I did finally manage to get my camera out and get the telephoto lens on to get some shots of his finale. From what I saw/heard of Trulee Odd Show he kept the audience entertained and was full of energy, I’m hoping to get some earlier show pictures tomorrow or Sunday.
Up next was Scot Free. I took a perch on one of the garden boxes just outside of Loplops and was able to sneak some pictures in over the crowd. We only stayed for the opening bit of his set as Fozzie the Busker Hound was getting a little restless and Jes was getting a little chilly as the temperature was dropping quickly. Once again though he seemed full of energy and was looking for crowd participation so that’s always a plus, the line…
“Grandma always used to say to make things more interesting light them on fire! …. I miss grandpa”
…definitely got a chuckle out of me anyway. Not too sure how many more people caught on though.

We caught his show on the first night (covered in my previous post) but this time I had the camera ready from the start and he switched up his act a bit with using rope balancing instead of a unicycle for his finale. Trulee Odd was a great entertainer. He really got the participation from the crowd.
