Ivan Bellari - Buskerfest Sault Ste. Marie

He only performed two shows at Buskerfest because he needed to do them when it was dark and I was fortunate enough to catch his last show on Saturday night. Who is he you ask, he is Ivan Bellari aka Exsulsis the Firebreather.

Yes that is a flaming head you are seeing. He also lights his hands and arms on fire — as well as some legs and backs during the Buskerfest Caberet and I’ll be getting to those pics later tonight.

Who needs stage lighting when you have a lot of fire? Ivan lit each torch with his hand.

And now the fun stuff. Ivan is one of only six people in the world to breathe fire the way he does. He sent off 25 flaming balls of flame (what else would they be?) in about 3 minutes as his finale. The cool night definitely turned hot.

Lesson learned: neon signs are quite bright in camera during the night. Not bad advertising for a book store I think. Come buy our books, they are hot hot hot.

[...] I can’t believe I missed buskerfest.  It had a lot to do with the stupid huge jackpot which forced me to work doubles and a certain birthday party I had to attend.  Luckily, I’ve been able to live vicariously through certain other bloggers who’ve written about the shows.  It’s nice to know I can count on you to keep me in the know about all things Sault, especially when I’m gone in Sept.  In any case, if it was half as fun as last year’s buskerfest, I’m sure it was a blast.
