Blogelation: Buskerfest Day Two Part Three - USA Break Dancers
Posted in Geek / Photography by CujoAugust 13th, 2006 - 1:13 PM
Finally the show we’ve been waiting for all weekend. On Friday night we just missed their show and on Saturday we stayed at Buskerfest until we saw it — the USA Break Dancers killed the audience and easily had the largest crowds with their high energy and comedic performance.
As luck would have it being at Buskerfest for 4 hours takes a pounding on the Compact Flash card in the camera — even the 1 GB card I have. By the time the USA Break Dancers were ready to perform I was down to about 50 pictures remaining so I couldn’t switch to the multi-shot function like I wanted to.
Going through the shots I took I found it hard to pick out a few key ones to put up with this post so I decided on 6. The rest can be seen in the photo gallery. Unfortunately today is the last showing of all the buskers so if you’ve missed their show you may be out of luck.
The next picture is one out of a quick sequence I shot for their final act where Ill Will jumped 4 1/2 people. I thought I’d pick the one where he’s jumping over the people so you can sort of get the effect of the trick/stunt.
To the guys from the Bronx, New York — thanks for the entertainment.

Cujo, that last pic is phenomenal. I say this because I thought the one *I* got of this act was phenomenal. Until I saw yours. If you haven’t already got their card, let me know and I’ll give you their email addy, as when they saw *my* “phenomenal” shot, they requested that I send them a copy. Trust me, they would much rather have yours. Oh, and uh… BTW - you ruined my day.
(The only thing that makes me feel better is that in my shot, he was diving over four and A HALF people….)

There’s a 1/2 person in there, he’s at the front

Jes has my “sequence” of shots up on her site. The colours are a bit off however. If you go through the photo gallery linked above you can see the many different places of the jump, I don’t think they are in order in there though.

Great photos Curt. I like the third one, but the last one is awesome as well.

Thanks Sandra — and thanks for the banner up on your site as well.
I’m not sure what my “favourite” is. Too many. I think the one with Cuba jumping off of Klown’s chest would have been a lot better and probably near the top of all time for me if I had better focus on the shot. Had Cuba complete focused and the audience blurred out a bit… but what can you do when he’s running and jumping.
