Nintendo Wii Set To Launch

This week featured multiple press conferences on different continents by Nintendo discussing it’s release of the Wii.
Launch date is November 19th here in North America and us Canucks can expect to pay $280 for it — that doesn’t sound too bad at all.Ã? What makes it even better is according to Engadget Wii Sports is bundled with the package.
I haven’t been excited for a gaming console in awhile, I have an XBox but barely play it, I think the Wii won me over with it’s unique controller and the possibility of playing all the old games as well (you can get original NES games for approx $5 US).Ã? And check out the software titles planned for launch by Nintendo, those are just Nintendo published games, there’s more from other 3rd party publishers as well.
I’m excited, I just won’t have the money on launch date so I’ll have to wait.

It was smart for Sony to delay PS3. They would have been killed this Christmas.

Very cool. VERY. However, I kind of miss the boxy old controllers of the original NES. You know, the ones that would give you thumb blisters after 16 consecutive hours of playing “Caveman Games”. Good times. I’m going to have to wait for the cash, as well. Prices should drop though, if prices go the way they always do.
