Photo Gallery: Bondar Live Sept 29

This past Friday local band Bondar opened up for High Holy Days at the Speak Easy. Once again being the documentor of local music I was there to take in the event with my trusty Canon 20D and once again I decided to shoot with just the Canon 50mm lens and not any other. I was about to make the switch midway through Bondar’s set but then opted not to.

Bondar had a lot of their local contingent out for the show who braved the rain and the cover charge just to see their local favourites take the stage. The fact that the audience was mainly there for Bondar and not High Holy Days was made clear when a large number of people left after Bondar’s set.

Bondar can definitely be considered the rising star in the Sault music scene and we can all only hope that they play venues more often. Unfortunately this will be tough for the next bit with Mark Rand off at school but we’ll continue to enjoy them any time he’s able to make it back.

For now though, you can enjoy the photo gallery of Bondar’s recent show. Hopefully it’ll quench your thirst until their next performance. As always, let me know what you think of the shots.

[...] High Holy Days played Friday night at the Speak Easy following Bondar (you can see Bondar’s photo post here). Unfortunately about half the audience left after Bondar’s set which made the bar seem thinner than it was. [...]

Thanks Marco. I’ve been debating watermarking my pictures or not. There’s more work involved doing it plus it’s not stopping anyone from cropping that part of the picture out. It all depends I guess. I thought I was safe going on the route of, here are the picks, feel free to use if they are of you but give proper credit to the photographer when you display them — or at least let me know you’re using them.
I know you’ve done this, Craig, Jay and Chris do it also. Although I’ve noticed some others floating around without the person even contacting me or saying anything about the pics at all.
