Granola People - Live Oct 7 2006 - loplops lounge

This past Saturday the Granola People played a to a full house at Loplops Gallery and Lounge. The Granola People are Frank Deresti and Andrew Muncaster and for this night they were accompanied by Lindsay Pugh on bass, Cliff Alloy on percussion and by Sheldon Jaaskalainen on fiddle for a couple of songs in the final set.

It was also announced tonight that the Granola People will be playing Loplops on Boxing Day and that they might have their new CD available for purchase at that time as well.

Seeing as it was Loplops the pictures have the reddish tinge that we have become accustomed to. Stupid me forgot to bring the new lens and flash to try them out so all pictures were shot with the 50mm for this event. As usual, let me know what you think of the pictures (I started to watermark them as well with my name, I’ll see how that turns out).

the pics look great, CO. fun bands make the photography all that much easier, don’t they?

  2. Cujo Says:

They sure do. Especially when it’s something different. Not every band has a banjo playing harmoncaist or a fiddle player etc etc. There’s usually something different happening. Not to take away from the general band set up of guitar, bass, percussion but it is fun to grab new instruments and new setups every now and again.

All the bands I’ve photographed however do have their own feel to them which is cool.
