An Update

So it’s been awhile since I’ve actually posted anything.Ã? That’s definitely not like me, I’ve just been quasi-busy.

Last week I pushed hard on some coding for a new look.� An announcement will come soon in that front after I work some mini tweaks out.

I almost shaved my beard off –Ã? yes it was a scary moment.Ã? Instead of trimming on “2″ or “3″ I had the trimming switched to “1″ which translates into “5 o’clock shadow”.Ã? So if anyone saw me in the past 4 days they know what I sort of look like beardless.Ã? Thank goodness for Italian blood and the near grow back now.Ã? It’s still not bushman bushy but it’s not bare-skin goofy so that’s good.

I attended this year’s Bridges to Better Business conference.Ã? Comparing this year to last I would have to say I enjoyed last year’s a lot more.Ã? This could have been because I was newer to the idea of running a business last year and had more knowledge this year but I just think as a whole last year was more informative for me.Ã? I also noticed an influx in youth entrepreneurs which weren’t present at last year’s conference.Ã? It seemed more established businesses attended last year and more “trying to get started” businesses were out this time around.Ã? Connections I was hoping to make didn’t happen but hopefully some networking took place which put my name out there a bit more.

I received my final cheque for my grant this week as well.Ã? And just like the other times I submitted for reimbursement/payment I got screwed around again.Ã? This time the cheque is made out to me as well as a business I purchased my previous equipment from.Ã? What does this mean?Ã? I cannot cash my cheque at the bank and I need to sign my cheque over to the business and try to get them to cut me a cheque in the 4 digit range.Ã? I tried contacting my grant “contact” and surprise surprise he’s out of the office until next week.Ã? It never fails.Ã? The money part of the grant was great, the head aches it caused were annoying.

The weekend was pretty low key.Ã? Attended a wedding of one of Jes’ high school friend’s out in Thessalon on Saturday.Ã? The reception was sports themed and the food featured pizza, nachos and wings.Ã? You can’t go wrong with that.

Today we didn’t do much.Ã? We finally got around to giving Domino and Fozzie much needed baths.Ã? They are still drying out right now but they sure do smell a lot better.

I have a lot of plans for things I want to do but just need to properly organize my time to get these things done.� Hopefully all will work out shortly.
