Curt at Brett Favre's Steakhouse Tailgate Party Nov 19

Long story short the trip was awesome but the game was kind of upsetting.

Why was the game upsetting you ask? Basically the Packers forgot to show up and Favre got injured just before half time and didn’t return. Final score: 35-0 in the Patriots favour which also means no Lambeau Leap.

But besides all of that the trip was still quite memorable and I definitely want to go backÃ? as early as Dec 17th if at all possible (okay it’s not), so maybe next year sometime. I’d also like to do some of the things that I missed out on this time either because I didn’t know how cool it would actually be or because we were rushing through some things trying to get in as much as possible.

So things I definitely need to do next time: take the tour of Lambeau Field, you actually get to go down to field level and if you ask nice enough you get to touch the turf and get my picture taken inside Lambeau Field, being the photographer you get left out of some of the pictures and don’t think of some of these things until you’re outside.

I had my camera in full picture mode for most of the weekend at the events that we took in but was limited to shots during the game as I wasn’t able to bring my camera bag in (I didn’t read the list of banned items and bags was one of them). I was however able to talk to the head of the Police force at the game and he suggested that I bring my bag to the gas station across the street and have them hold it for me, it was a chance I had to take and it worked however I forgot to grab my 2 GB card out of it so I was limited to whatever was remaining on my 1 GB card and I didn’t realize this until I shot a number of pics through the warmups (so not many game action shots). I only had two lenses with me as well, my trusty Tamron 28-70mm and 70-300mm lenses and surprisingly I have a number of awesome shots that I didn’t think would be possible to get.

So coming up this week expect 3 or 4 posts featuring different photo galleries from the weekend including the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame, the tailgate party and the game.

Pictured above is me at the tailgate party wearing the old school leather helmet shot by Jes. She also has a quick rundown of the weekend up on her site.

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Maybe we all (you, Jes, Anthony, Jer, me and Jeannette and whomever else) can plan for a Packers game next year.

Can’t wait to see some of your photos.

Ross: 35-0 is still 20 pts away from me streaking across Lambeau Field

Anita: thanks, I want to be in the movies.

Sandra: the trip was awesome and I’m definitely heading back as soon as the money is available to go, damn money. Anyone who wants to come and enjoys football is free to come.

I LOVE that pic! You should make posters and sell them. Or just make one and give to us…

    1. I’m not sure what the market is like for “Curt in old football helmet” posters.

    2. I find it a little creepy yet also a little flattering that you’d want the picture as a poster.
