Better Than Crabs

The Inner City Surfers played Foggy Notions Friday November 17. I’m finally getting around to putting the pics up. I’m actually happey with the way some of these ones turned out (compared to the earlier batch from their opener).

For the Surfers set I decided to put the new toys away for the night and use my trusty 28-70mm lens. For some reason this particular lens seems to suit the atmosphere at Foggy’s a lot better.

The lighting at Foggy’s is definitely better than the dimly lit Loplops where I do a lot of my shoots but still not up to the quality of the Speak Easy where I think the majority of my best shots come from. The Speak Easy has the benefit of a full stage with real stage lighting so I’m able to use some of my other lenses there to the full extent as well.

Needless to say, the Surfers put on a hell of a show. I unfortunately had to leave somewhat early as we were doing the big Green Bay trip in the morning and I also shot an entire 1 GB card on the night. So the timing just worked.
