Better Than Crabs

Maybe Smith closed the show on Saturday night following the performance of Carbon Dating Service and I wasn’t sure how he would be able to go on after what we just watched.  But go on he did and impressed he did.  Together Maybe Smith and Carbon Dating Service are touring sponsored by Sask Music and CBC Radio3.

To add to the numerous intruments provided by Carbon Dating Service’s set you can now include xylophone — that’s right, they rocked the xylophone.

Maybe Smith’s live band featured 6 members including 3 carrying over from Carbon Dating Service.  The set closed with both bands joining on stage in a mass cornucopia of song with drummers switching from behind the kit and others moving from other various instruments out front.

Loplops on Saturday was definitely the place to be and here’s hoping these two bands stop back in sometime soon.
